Columnar Norway Spruce Tree
Picea abies 'Cupressina'
Cupressina is a columnar Norway spruce with ascending branches and dense, deep green needles year-round. Expect about 20 feet in height and a 6-foot spread at maturity, with a tight pyramidal outline that holds foliage near the ground. Medium growth and USDA zone 2 hardiness support use in very cold climates. Plant it for vertical screening, windbreaks, or narrow evergreen accents where a wide spruce would overwhelm the site.
