Urban Pinnacle Bur Oak
Quercus macrocarpa 'JFS-KWS3'
Urban Pinnacle Bur Oak is a bur oak cultivar with a narrow, upright habit and a dominant central leader. Medium growth reaches about 55 feet tall and 25 feet wide, with hardiness into USDA Zone 3. Glossy summer leaves stay cleaner than many oaks thanks to resistance to both powdery mildew and anthracnose. The pinnacle form fits streets and other sites where a full bur oak would be too wide. Fall foliage develops seasonal color before leaf drop.
